And when the empathetic psychic was talking to Clara, I realized what was bugging me about this part of the season.

While 11 is all ready to go companioning, he’s not the fun traveler we had before. What I’m seeing is shades of 10 before before Donna, freshly post-Rose. Basically poor Martha who has to deal with being 2nd best.

And while he’s got a mystery to solve, it’s actually his companion that’s the mystery, and it prevents the type of rapport I’ve gotten used to from growing.
In every interaction, he’s trying to figure her out test her and suss out the truth, while multitasking and caring because #TimeLords.

He appears geniune, but Because Clara’s relatively new, she’s still hanging in there and doesn’t quite know her place in things. Has any companion dealt with the TARDIS rejecting them (aside from Jack)?

And it’s that sliver of ice in him that is parting them before they can blaze together.

In today’s playthrough, after clearing the second Jerusalem stage, the guy decided to tell me to never to listen and believe what anyone says, and then told me the job of an assassin such as Altair was to shut up and listen to him.

I just started playing Assassin’s Creed 1, and I am confounded by how Altair is completely beaten by water. It’s like the Brotherhood decided to overlook his inability to swim because he is so damn awesome otherwise, you know, aside from his GLARING personality problems.

And I’m predicting that the whole “Nothing is true, everything is permitted” is going to bite Altair in the ass because he has all these questions about his missions, and the leader guy is really giving some half-assed answers for his responses. “Herbs”. Really man? I’m half convinced that that is exactly what you’re doing since your logic is eating itself.

Don’t destroy the leaders of the armies because it will leave the land with 10,000 angry crusaders running around? Man, what about the target’s followers? If their willing to die for them, won’t they be willing to continue on with their life’s work? We did nothing to check out their second-in-commands or break up their infrastructure. Moreover, there are several other people involved in the same business, but you aren’t ordering me or others to take them out?

I hate classes that require that you turn in an outline way before a final paper is due. I mean, you want me to tell you my thesis, my main points? I usually figure that out while I write my paper, after moving things around a lot and playing with my research.

And I hate rigid outline formats.
